BRIDGE IDIOMS

TASK: Match the bridge idioms with their meanings.

A bridge too far	To improve relationships between an individual or a group of people. To promote friendships.
To build bridges	Something in the past that cannot be controlled or undone, but must be accepted, forgiven, or forgotten.
To burn one’s bridges	A goal or plan that is very ambitious. It is usually so ambitious that it is very difficult to accomplish.
Cross that bridge (when we come to it).	To make a decision that you can’t undo in the future. It can also mean to remove the possibility of returning to something.
Water under the bridge	To deal with a situation when it occurs, not beforehand.
